G. Zambakos

Georgios Zambakos is a Plastic Surgeon. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Athens in 1992 and specialized in Great Britain at the Plastic Surgery and Burns Unit of Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. He completed his training at the Plastic Surgery and Burns Clinic of KAT Hospital and then returned to Great Britain where he worked for several years in London and Plymouth as a visiting director where he was mainly involved in reconstructive breast surgery. He specialized in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, facial and body aesthetic surgery, skin and soft tissue cancer surgery, microsurgery, extremity surgery and laser applications.

He has authored two books, dozens of scientific papers in Greek and mainly international journals, has presented more than 100 papers in Greek and international conferences and is regularly invited to Greek and international conferences as a guest speaker.

He has been awarded for his scientific papers by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the Hellenic Surgical Society, the Senologic Hellenic Society and the Hellenic Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

He practices Plastic Surgery privately and collaborates with the Metropolitan General Hospital, Mitera Hospital, Mediterraneo Hospital, Psychiko Clinic of Athens Medical Group, Athens Euroclinic, Rea Maternity Hospital, Henry Dunant Hospital Center and Athens BioClinic Hospital, as well as with the Pediatric Clinics of Mitera Hospital, Iaso General Hospital and Athens Euroclinic. He organized and ran for many years the Surgical Department of the 2nd Department of Dermatology of the University of Athens, at the Attikon Hospital, while he is also a Scientific Associate of the 4th Surgical Clinic of the University of Athens, also at Attikon Hospital, where he is involved in reconstructive breast surgery and reconstructive surgery in general, as well as in skin cancer surgery and, more particularly, melanoma surgery.
